The Portland Maine real estate Condo market has and continues to grow.  Numerous condo conversions of historic buildings combined with many luxury new construction offerings presents a wide variety of options for the discerning buyer.     As of November 2008, there are a total of 201 condos listed at an average price of 290K and has been sitting on the market for about 100 days.

In 2007, a total of 288 condos sold at an average price of 249K after sitting on the market for 103 days.   In 2006, a total of 312 condos sold at an average price of  239K and sat on the market for 91 day.  Thus the condo market like the Single family market in Portland has remained resilient through the economic downturn

You can buy a great studio or one bedroom condo on the West end for 125-150K, get into a newly refurbished 2-3 bedroom unit on the red hot Portland Eastern Prom for around 300K and find luxury new construction with water views in the 400-750K range.
